I got to shoot Illinois basketball media day in Champaign last week. I’m sure it’s great for the reporters who want to get quotes before the season starts and for video guys to get some soundbites… but for me it’s basically taking pictures of tall guys with microphones and tape recorders in their faces talking to a bunch of reporters.
Last year the guys seemed pretty laid back and were having fun with each other during interviews… this year wasn’t as energetic, but with some crazy things going on in the off-season I suppose it’s to be expected.

Nice pics! But CJ Jackson isn’t a new guy. He was on the team in 2006-2007, then for 07-08 he played football. Now he’s back on the bball team.
