I got to shoot the home opener against Central A&M at Monticello Friday night. I didn’t know much about these two teams coming in… so I had no idea what to expect.
I’m definitely not the expert, but I thought Monticello looked better than the 48-19 on the scoreboard.
I love shooting these small school teams… the Central A&M quarterback also played defense and special teams. I should have looked down the sideline, he may have been wrapping ankles and filling water bottles too.
A&M had a monster running back. The roster had him listed at six-one, 200 pounds… he looked a lot bigger than that. I felt really sorry for the Monticello kid who had his face stepped on by the guy. I’m guessing that didn’t feel pleasant.
Anyway… I didn’t get anything stellar, but here are a few of my favorites from the night.
