Mal and I met up with one of her friends from work, Sara, and Sara’s fiance, Phil, Saturday evening after our day of shopping. We went to a bar in downtown Champaign called The Blind Pig… this was one of the best places I’ve ever been to sit and drink delicious beer.
I’m wondering why I have never been there before… it’s a very laid back, pub-like feel with big tables, dartboards and a huge selection of beer.
I tried out seven of the 28 beers they have on tap. If I remember correctly, I had:
- Michigan Brewing Russian Imperial Stout
- Lagunitas Censored
- Left Hand Black Jack Porter
- Schlafly Irish Stout
- Stella Artois
- Pabst Blue Ribbon
and the best brew of the night:
Mal and I had a good time with Sara and Phil… even if they did beat us at a game of darts. I did throw three bulls-eyes in one turn during one of our games. I wish we had a photo of that.
Hopefully we can do it again sometime soon.
