
I had my first front photo on the front page of the Chicago Tribune earlier this year… but it ended up being the size of a postage stamp when it ran. I was pretty pumped about that postage stamp, though.
I shot a freelance gig for the Trib a few weeks ago… that photo ended up running on the front page, and it was a wee-bit bigger than a postage stamp… more like 4 columns wide above the fold.
Out of all of the things I’ve shot this year, who would have guessed that three young cheerleaders from Tuscola would run on the front of the Trib? The assignment was to cover a pep rally thrown by the towns of Mattoon and Tuscola in support of FutureGen… the $1.8 billion experimental power plant.
