Mal got her haircut Tuesday and asked me to take some pictures to send to one of her friends… she goofed around for a second when we were done. I showed her one of the photos on the back of the camera and said I was going to blog about it… she mumbled some physical threat, so I decided to post the next frame instead… pretty easy to do when you’re shooting 10 pictures a second.
For the photo nerds, this is what 1/1000 of a second looks like indoors. Light was coming from a lamp, exposure on the Mark III was ISO 6400, 1/1000 @ 2.8… there’s a little bit of grain, but seriously… this camera is ridiculous.
Sorry Mal… next time I have pictures taken after getting my hair cut you can post them on the internet. Promise.
Wait til you see the images from a D3 at those same settings. Some folks are saying that the D3 is challenging Canon’s reign at the low-light level. I know it sure as hell beats my D70s’s low light capability.
