Light is weird

Corn stalks on the side of the road in rural Douglas county just south of Arcola, Ill., Sunday, July 22, 2007.

If you had to guess (without cheating) and figure out what time this photo was taken… what would you guess?

Sunrise? Noon? Mid-afternoon?

What if I said midnight?

The mix of clouds, a bright moon and a flashlight shining on the cornstalks made this 144-second exposure look like daylight. I’m still pretty baffled by it.
