I'll be honest... I know very little bit about sports, but apparently I know nothing about hockey. I was digging through MSNBC tonight and found the headline "Ducks, Senators play for Stanley Cup" and I realized I never knew the Ducks were a real team and a movie. I might watch this series and chant quack - quack - quack - Quack - Quack - Quack - QUACK - QUACK - QUACK while standing in front of my television... Or maybe I'll just ignore the hockey updates during the sports segment on CNN like I do every other night of my life.

First catch

0530 Fish-SH, by grizzly_lightning I got some of Grampy's fishing poles and tackle from his house this weekend and decided to get my fishing license. I've been fishing several times, but have never caught anything -- until now. Grampy must have been doing something right. My first cast in to the water and I caught a little largemouth bass. I had the certificate to prove it, but I lost it in a move... you'll just have to take my word on it. A bunch of family members met up this weekend to start cleaning Grampy's house out. I was really excited to go through the old photo albums. I look at photos all day every day... it's my job, but there is always something different about old family albums. Bad idea

0525 Track 06-SH, by grizzly_lightning I like the idea of driving around in a company car, especially when driving across the state during a period of record-high gas prices, but this is ridiculous. This is one of the cars owned by the Springfield State Journal-Register. As you can see it features graphics of a man with a freakishly long arm and bad fashion sense throwing a newspaper into oncoming traffic. Way to think that one through. And below is a photo of me trying to "catch the news"... all of these graphics were just vinyl decals... I really wanted to move ...

Camera socks

0525 Socks-SH, by grizzly_lightning I've seen people keep some strange stuff in camera bags... One co-worker keeps a yo-yo and scrap paper to fold origami. Another co-worker wears a fanny-pack... so it's hard to say what kind of stuff he has in there. Danny apparently carries socks. Socks would be handy if he wasn't wearing sandals. I won't even make fun of the Nikon paperweight that he also has in the bag. Oh well... I probably shouldn't laugh. It's 80 degrees outside and I still have hand warmers in my bag.

0524 Sparkler 01-EH, by grizzly_lightning I have been kind of busy this week, so the blog gets bumped down on my priority list every night... sorry to all three or four of you that read this. I was in a weird mood Thursday night and Eric had his studio lights set up in his yard... so we took some fun photos with me and sparklers, him and cigarettes, me and military gear, me riding his dog, his dog, his roommate... you know, the usual Thursday night.
