Drawback of ice: It took me more than an hour to travel the 10.75 miles from work to my apartment. I was absolutely scared out of my mind. There were 13 cars/trucks stuck off the side of the road. Suzie (my 1997 Saturn) was not a big fan.
Benefit of ice: Like I mentioned in my last post, ice makes everything pretty. The last time I remember ice covering everything was that winter during high school when we made pee-cicles on a fence in Robert’s back yard. Good times…
These icicles were hanging on the metal overhang of the west entry to the University Union. I thought it was pretty, so I pushed the button. That’s what I get paid to do (kind of).
If the roads are anywhere near decent tomorrow, I’m going to go look for the bald eagles out at Lake Charleston. I know where they are, I just don’t get the time I’d like to get out there.
I could also see myself laying underneath a pile of blankets in bed all day and watching a bunch of DVDs before work. I guess we’ll find out in a few hours.
