First customers

If you live in Charleston, you know that Domani’s, a nice Italian restaurant on Fourth Street, has been closed for about a month. It reopened Thursday under a different name (A.J.’s) and Mal and I just happened to be the first customers.

The menu is about four times longer than the Domani’s menu. I’d compare the selection to an Applebee’s or Garfield’s… several salads, a good selection of burgers, lots of sandwiches, some pasta, steaks and a random list of “favorites” like meatloaf or chicken teriyaki.

The prices were lower than Domani’s and very affordable for the amount of food you get. I ordered a hamburger (which was delicious) that came with a big helping of fries, and Mal had a Frisco burger… Our bill was less than 20 bucks, and we were both stuffed.

I’ll definitely be going again… maybe with you!
