Hanging out with Colin

Colin / November 20, 2006 // Mattoon, Ill.

I got to eat dinner with Colin the other night. I haven’t seen in a long time, so it was good to be able to hang out for a while.

He’s working in Mississippi with Habitat for Humanity through AmeriCorps now… it seems to be working out for him. He had lots of good stories (as he always does) about the people he works with down there.

We spent almost two hours catching up on things at Eastern and with each other’s latest news.

Colin was driving through on his way home for the holidays. He had these two kittens, Toughie McGee and Nomsa, in the car with him. They were adorable.

Nomsa means comfort in some African language that I can’t remember right now. I want to say siSwati, but I’m probably wrong.

Hopefully I get to keep in touch with him more. I’m horrible at keeping in touch with people. I plan on making that one of my resolutions next month.
