American Goldfinch / October 30, 2006 // Mattoon, Ill.
The weather was incredible, so I went out to a few places to look for birds today.
I think it was a little too windy. I only found a few birds — including this American Goldfinch — out at the Douglas Hart Nature Center, which is normally crawling with hundreds of birds.
There’s a chance for rain tomorrow, but the rest of the week looks pretty good.
UPDATE: It looks like this Goldfinch is about to attack the Heron from the post below…
