My letter to Apple:
I have to confess something.
Have you ever had someone else catch your eye, even though you’re in a serious relationship with someone else?
Even worse, have you ever crossed the line and messed around with that other person?
I’ve done that tonight.
I’m sorry Apple… Vista was so pretty and shiny — I couldn’t resist… I’m still in love with you.
OK, seriously. Vista is very, very pretty. This is the closest thing I have seen to a Mac. It’s not the same as using OSX, but it is a lot nicer to look at.
The ‘Sidebar’ is pretty much the same as ‘Dashboard’, just with a lot less to play with. I’m sure that will change when Vista is officially launched.
The screen and window effects are very smooth. They remind me of a fancy Web site made with Flash. I’ll try and explain that later, but it’s 3:54 in the morning, so that’s all you get right now.
I’ll play around with this more tomorrow and give you a better review.
so is it worth it, haas? i’m looking at a download link right now, well not right now, but i was. have you had any trouble with old programs? did you lose any files? when june 2007 rolls around and you haven’t bought a complete upgrade package, could one easily roll back to xp?
i have too much time on my hands. hope things are just swell in chucktown.
