Self-Portrait / August 11, 2006 // Mattoon, Ill.
I got bored at work the other night so I set up a quick and dirty self portrait. Most newspapers have a studio area with different colored backgrounds for shooting headshots or illustartions, kind of a miniature Wal-Mart photo studio (minus the little squeaky toys to make your kids smile).
Most newspapers means not us.
We have a giant room that used to be the pressroom that sits empty with nothing in it. I decided to use it as a 7,000 square foot black background.
I think it works. I wish I had something better to take pictures of besides myself, but hey, what can you do?
