In a helicopter / July 4, 2006 // In Flight
I got to fly for a little while during the air show Tuesday. The photos weren’t spectacular, but I always try to take a picture of myself when I fly. It’s a weird habit.
I have done nothing but work for the past 10 days.
OK, I lied. I have done other things besides work…
I played a few round of putt-putt miniature golf with Mal. We played a couple rounds in Champaign and one round in Mattoon. She gave me a good challenge, but sadly, ‘good challenge’ isn’t recorded on the scorecard. We were both having a slump… I might have to set up a practice hole in my apartment or something.
When I wasn’t working or slaughtering Mal on the golf course enjoying quality game time with Mal, we went to see The Devil Wears Prada.
I was skeptical at first. Ebert gave it one of the worst reviews I have ever seen (although his site has a different, better review). I left the theatre surprised.
One thing I didn’t like about the movie was how it made me feel guilty for working too much. It was kind of ironic how my phone went off twice during the movie… both times was work calling.
The re-design at work is almost done. We launch July 17.
Check out the current site for a reference of how horrible it is. (I’m not responsible for any headaches or other side-effects of viewing that page)
I’m worried that working on this new website has finally turned me into a web-nerd.
I’ve been living on rice krispies treats and Coke for the past 10 days and I haven’t been to bed before sunrise for almost a week.
Now I just have to join a bowling league that won’t interfere with my summer schedule of Star Trek conventions.
