Chris and I went to the National Zoo today. I think that a majority of the animals were threats to homeland security, so they weren’t there. I think we saw maybe a dozen animals. Oh well, it was free, and the animals we did see were pretty cool.
We had hoped to go kayaking down the Potomac River this weekend, but it would have been about $85 per person… so that was out.
We went out with a group of Chris’ friends from his work to Buffalo Billiards, a place in Dupont Circle that was pretty cool. It had probably 30 pool tables, some big screen TVs, dart boards and a huge assortment of beer on draft. I had a great time with his friends.
Tomorrow we are going back down to the Mall to get to some of the monuments that I didn’t make it to yesterday. I’m hoping to get some stuff at night with the Washington Monument lit up.
More tomorrow!
