My inner-punk / June 4, 2006 // Charleston, Ill.
Mal cut my hair over the weekend.
She thought it would be fun to give me a mohawk. It’s gone now, but I almost kept it for a day to see what people at work would do. I should have dyed it purple or green or something and come to work. That would have been fun.
I may have been inspired by some of the hair I saw when I went home to shoot a concert for Jordan. I’ve never seen so many boys wearing skin-tight girls jeans, black t-shirts, tattoos and crazy hair. I was actually impressed with 4 of the 5 bands there. The first band was great until the singer kid started screaming.
I think my favorite band of the night was a group from Chicago called Ammi. I definitely suggest giving them a listen sometime.
Other than that nothing too exciting…
I rode from Charleston to Mattoon and back on my bike Saturday morning. I felt great until Sunday morning. Mal and I played some tennis on Sunday afternoon though, so that stretched my legs out a bit.
When I came to work today, I found out that I am the profile-of-the-month for the company newsletter. Since you don’t get to see that, I thought I’d post my Q-and-A here for you to know a little more about me.
