This is not a rare bird.
I don’t know why… but I’ve been on a big wildlife, birding, animal loving mood lately. I’m not talking about a PETA mood, but a Steve Erwin kind of mood.
I’ve been taking pictures of birds, squirrels, dogs, cats and maybe a few of my new dwarf hamster, Champ.
I’ve seen a lot of birds, but apparently not enough. I was leaving my apartment last week when I saw the bird above on a feeder outside my building. I’ve never seen a bird like it… so it must be some new, rare species of bird.
Nope.
It’s a downy woodpecker, which happens to be the most common form of woodpecker in North America.
Oh well.
Since I haven’t posted anything for a while, I’ll do an update tomorrow.
I’ll give you a preview: hamsters, new addictions, music snobs, strangers playing with my _________, fun with vicodin and the names of my three new plants. (not necessarily in that order)
