Changing my name

Just a note to everyone: I’m changing my name to One-Wood… because I’m doing a lot of driving.

If you don’t get that joke it’s because a) I’m extremely tired, or b) you’ve never played golf.

I guess either way it was lame. Oh well.

I’ve put almost a thousand miles on my car in the past four days. St. Louis and back twice, Champaign, Danville and my Charleston-Mattoon commute a few times.

I’m getting about 35 miles a gallon in Suzie (my Saturn) right now, so it could be a lot worse. Dad says he gets about 16 mpg in his truck.

My story on Felicia is going well. She is doing well right now, but this week is when her counts will start to bottom out.

I’ve been down to visit her Thursday night and Sunday evening… heading back on Tuesday morning.

Went to dinner with Mom, Dad, 2/3 of my siblings and Grampy Saturday night and had lunch with Mal’s parents Sunday afternoon. It was really nice to see everyone, especially since I’m getting so busy with work right now.

I think the network card in my computer fried over the weekend… so I am without internet at home until I get that fixed. Maybe I can pick-up somebody’s wireless signal if I move my computer to a different room. That should be a fun experiment this week.

I don’t know what prompted the latest surge of Chuck Norris sayings… but I’ve heard a lot of good ones lately. My favorite: “There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of animals Chuck Norris allows to live.”
