Wow… It’s Sunday evening, and I’m sitting at home. I’m not really sure what to think about this.
Prowler never showed up for the “Boo For Billy” game at Lantz Saturday afternoon. The arena gym was pretty packed because of the area kids’ halftime performance with the Pink Panthers. Eastern won, and played a pretty good game, but I would have loved to hear it when Prowler set foot on the floor. Oh well…
I went to see Rent with Mal and her roommates last night. It was a good show, but the songs just weren’t as believable on the screen as they were on stage. The people around us also ruined a little bit of it. For some reason, the “cool” and “funny” things to do when going to a movie are: carry out a conversation through the entire movie, make out with your ugly girlfriend, laugh at the most inappropriate scenes, clap at the end of each scene (they can’t hear you!) and, of course, sing along with the entire cast for each and every song. I guess the movie was free, so it wasn’t all that bad.
Went to the Panther Paw with Mal for a girl’s 21st birthday. I hate to admit it, but I actually had a decent time there. I hate the Paw 99.9% of the time, but not last night.
It was like a big, drunken reunion there last night. I ran into most of the guys from my floor freshman year. There were some guys from the newsroom, Kelly (who is the only person I know that’s been kicked out of Fatman’s back home), and some other friends from classes and photos over the past few years.
We wandered over to Mad Hatter’s before closing to hang out with some of the newsies. I miss being around those guys all the time… I’ll have to work on hanging out with them more. (especially now that I truly have weekends off!)
