I was going to write a rant about how MSNBC was a few days late posting their Week In Pictures section, but I was very happy to see an update today with a year-in-review. Very cool stuff if you get a chance to look at it. (Turn your speakers on, it has some nice audio commentary and music to go along with the slideshow) I did think it was funny... they have it divided into "Editors' choice" and Readers' choice." The 7up machine in the newsroom of the Daily Eastern News. The bank of fluorescent lights above my old desk at the Daily Eastern News. Danny and I decided to throw some more cameras around tonight. We were trying all sorts of things like dropping a camera from the second level of Buzzard Hall to the first floor lounge area. It didn't work out like we wanted, but the janitor looked at us pretty funny. We were trying exit signs, vending machines, fluorescent lights and Christmas trees... fun stuff. Same pair of size 14 shoes... one with a little love applied to it. My name is Stephen (with a 'ph'), and I am addicted to shoe polish. I was on national TV… again

I was in the background of 48 Hours Saturday night. I didn't know this was going to be on, but for once Mal didn't flip through the channels, and we saw that the CBS show was going to be reporting on the 1986 murder of a couple in Paris, Ill., a story that is still going on that I covered during last year's internship. A couple photo friends were also in the background; Kevin German, and Rick Danzl... I still think there is a lot to this story that isn't known. You've got to love small-town police work.

I wish he had been drinking when I was there... Hung out at the Icy Mug and The Station tonight after work. Santa was hanging out on the bar at the Mug. Apparently he had been drinking a lot. I love the DEN newsies almost as much as the movie... Don't worry that I'm drinking straight from the bottle, I have a tie on, so it's still classy I was too tired to post after last night's "black-tie affair"... so check out the photos on my flickr site. I was listening to Air America tonight and the conservavtive, baptist caller was complaining about all of the things that are wrong with the democrats in America when the liberal host corrected him on his use of scripture and then threw out a few more passages to prove he was wrong. The best part was when he told the caller that he was a hypocrite and that God was saving a special place in Hell for him to go. Note to conservatives: You might want to read that book that you talk about so much... it has some good stories. I ...

Finally, a good use for FOX News

I promised I wouldn't show this to anybody... The only time I watch FOX News is if every other channel on the TV is blank or if I really need a good laugh at their "fair and balanced" coverage. When I was scanning through some of my favorite blogs this morning, I came across this short movie made by filmmaker Aaron Valdez on the Screenhead site.. This is the best use for FOX News I have ever seen! The best line... "FOX means nipple clips"... Now playing: "I Got A Woman" John Mayer Trio Try!
