My favorite from the night…

If I were a smug, pompous artist, I would call this one daffodil and then make fun of you for not knowing why.

This almost looks like a detail shot of an exotic silk… or maybe it’s 2:45 a.m. …
I had the chance to go up on the roof at work tonight, so of course I was all over it.
Kevin wanted to take an overview of the holiday light display at the park across the street, but I figured it was a good opportunity for a camera toss.
Both Kevins were up there watching me throw, lob and spin my camera around like it was nothing. I think they were both nervous, but intrigued.
I think the photos turned out well. They are up on my Flickr site, I will be making a special gallery in the “fun” section of the site.
Besides going up on the roof, work was actually kind of enjoyable tonight. We had lots of stuff to do, so time seemed to fly by. I don’t think I would want to be that busy every night, but it worked tonight.
I think I have my holiday schedule worked out now…
Work from 3-11 Friday, drive home to Danville right after work, sleep for a few hours, pick Mal up at her house on Christmas Eve morning, drive to Hoopeston to see Grandma and Grandpa, drive back to Danville for lunch and presents at my house, go visit Grampy and others at his house in Oakwood, drive back to Danville for sandwiches and presents at Aunt Martha and Bertha’s house, hang out at my house for a while, drive to Mal’s house in Fithian to sleep, wake up Christmas morning for presents and lunch with Mal’s side of the family, drive back to Mattoon to work from 3-11. Whew.
Sadly, that’s not as busy as we used to be, but things have changed a lot this past year. Oh well.
It will be nice to see all of the family. Even though I only live an hour away from home, I don’t get to go home very often to see everybody. It’s like Dr. Voelz told us freshman year, “The news doesn’t stop for the weekends.”
I try to make it stop for sleep though, and I think I’m actually going to go to bed before 4 a.m. today…
