I was in the background of 48 Hours Saturday night. I didn’t know this was going to be on, but for once Mal didn’t flip through the channels, and we saw that the CBS show was going to be reporting on the 1986 murder of a couple in Paris, Ill., a story that is still going on that I covered during last year’s internship.

I still think there is a lot to this story that isn’t known. You’ve got to love small-town police work.
