I was listening to Air America tonight and the conservavtive, baptist caller was complaining about all of the things that are wrong with the democrats in America when the liberal host corrected him on his use of scripture and then threw out a few more passages to prove he was wrong. The best part was when he told the caller that he was a hypocrite and that God was saving a special place in Hell for him to go. Note to conservatives: You might want to read that book that you talk about so much… it has some good stories.
I slipped and fell on some ice tonight, and now my ankle hurts. It’s the same one that I twist every year. At least I didn’t break anything. My fear is that something horrible will happen to me sometime this week before my new health insurance kicks in. I’m going to lay in bed for the rest of the week, nothing bad can happen to me there.
I picked up a copy of the “Best Photos” issue of TIME magazine. Simply amazing.
I get to hang out with Poulter tomorrow. Hopefully he can kick me out of my photo-funk. Probably not… I’m in a pretty big funk. It could happen though.
The DEN Newsies are having a Christmas party tomorrow night. I don’t get to go until I get off work, but it will be fun to see everyone before they leave for break.
My green-bean casserole didn’t turn out too bad for my first time making it. My oven has been running hot, so the top layer of fried onions looked a little crispy, but it tasted fine. Thanks to mom for the recipe.
I finally decided to stop being such a Scrooge and put up some Christmas lights in my apartment. That’s the extent of my holiday decorating. No tree. No stockings. No Christmas music. I think working two jobs at the mall during two holiday seasons after high school kind of ruined my holiday spirit. Listening to “Feliz Navidad” for 80 hours a week would make Santa want to shoot himself in the face.
Speaking of Christmas, I have all of my shopping done. I’ve wrapped all of Mal’s presents except for one thing that I have to finish before I wrap it. Yep. you guessed it. the only reason I wrote that is to get in Mal’s head when she reads this. Now she’s going to think about what she might be getting for the next two weeks. I’ll give you a hint: it’s not a pony.
